SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is actually alarmed regarding the higher number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher range of clients/beneficiaries here to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The company point created for intervention experiences a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all clients and boost access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
